Paddle with the Author
The Vero Beach Book Center and Kayaks Etc invite you to paddle with Warren Richey, author of “Without a Paddle” on Saturday morning, July 10th, at 9am. Richey will then be at the Vero Book Center at 3pm for a talk and booksigning. Learn how his 30 day, 1200 mile paddle around the state of Florida tested his physical and mental abilities.
The race began at Mullet Key in Fort Desoto Park near the entrance to Tampa Bay and ran counter clockwise around Florida. A 40 mile portage added to the adventure. Paddling 16-20 hours per day, everyday gave the author unlimited time to reflect on his life, his relationships, his fears and his hopes and dreams.
