Beatlemania in the Vineyard!

The Mersey Beatles

One of the most highly regarded Beatles Tribute bands in the world will be right here in on the Treasure Coast this weekend! The Mersey Beatles from Liverpool will be performing at Summer Crush Vineyard and Winery this Saturday, February 17th. According to Julia Baird, sister of the late John Lennon, The Mersey Beatles are “the most authentic Beatles Tribute Band I’ve ever heard….and I’ve heard them all!”

The Mersey Beatles are childhood friends who grew up in Liverpool. They had a record collection in common. The Beatles records were always sitting on the very top of that pile...& they still are to this day. Steven Howard, Mark Bloor & Brian Ambrose (Paul, John & Ringo) attended secondary school together in the city. Craig McGown completes the line up as George. Craig has proved a popular addition since joining in September 2017. Tony Cook, another friend from Liverpool, is the 5th Mersey Beatle. His keyboard skills are essential throughout but are most prevalent during the orchestral hits of the later years.

From 2002 to 2012 The Mersey Beatles were the resident tribute band and the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. After spending a year touring the world including the US, Europe, Asia and Australia they returned in 2014 to Liverpool and performances at the Cavern Club and became the first Beatles tribute band to play have played at the club more times than the Beatles!

Former Cavern Club booking manager, Steve painter, says “The Mersey Beatles do all the same kind of banter and crowd involvement, but it's not rehearsed or fake, that's just how they are. If The Beatles were still going today, they'd be exactly like The Mersey Beatles.”

This weekend is a rare opportunity to see this internationally acclaimed act right here at one of our area’s most popular venues. The gates will open at Summer Crush Vineyards in Fort Pierce at 5:30 PM with dinner (not included in ticket price) from Polio Catering available until 7 PM. For the best seating, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. A separate “Meet and Greet” ticket is also available for those that wish to meet the lads from Liverpool. Visit the vineyard’s website here or call 772-460-0500.
