Easter Festivities for Everyone


Easter is just around the corner, and our coastal communities offer something special for people of all ages to celebrate the glory of the weekend.

In Sebastian kick off the weekend with the kids at the Annual City of Sebastian Easter Egg Hunt. The festivities begin at 10 am on Saturday, March 31, in Riverview Park located at 600 US Hwy 1, and there will be special appearance by the Easter Bunny before noon. On Easter Sunday, April 1st the same park will also host its annual Community Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 am. After that, head on over to Captain Hiram’s for a hopping good time with an easter egg hunt at the Sandbar starting at 10 am. The Capt & Crew will supply bags for the hunt but feel free to bring your own as well. The event is for kids under 12 . Capt Hirams is located at 1606 North Indian River Drive in Sebastian.

Vero Beach festivities kick off early this year with the 59th Easter Egg Hunt, presented by the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department happening Saturday, March 24 at Mulligan’s Beach House located on the waterfront at Sexton Plaza in Vero. The event is free and is for children age 9 and under. Hunters should plan to arrive by 9:30 am, and parents are asked to bring a donation of 6 empty Easter eggs. There will be a photo booth with the Easter Bunny and a surprise guest along with a jelly bean guess jar for all the children. Also, on March 24th, Indian River Medical Center will host Breakfast with The Bunny in its cafeteria at 9 am followed by an Easter egg hunt on the IRMC lawn. There will be coloring books, crayons and bags provided. The medical center is located at 1000 36th Street in Vero Beach.

On Thursday, March 29th the place to be is Humiston Park at 3000 Ocean Drive in Vero Beach. Activities begin at 4 pm with an egg hunt in the park for kids 12 and under along with face painting, the fairy hair lady and kid’s crafts. There will also be free photos with the Bunny at the Dale Sorensen Real Estate Kiosk at 3101 Ocean Drive. Then the Bonnets and Bowties Golf Cart Parade begins at 6 pm along Ocean Drive.

Down Fort Pierce way grownups can start off the weekend on Saturday, March 31 at Summer Crush Winery’s ever popular Adult Easter Egg Hunt because why should kids have all the fun? The hunt starts at noon followed by a post-hunt party from 1-4 pm with live music by Nashville's Steel Blossoms. Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery is located at 4200 Johnston Rd. in Ft Pierce.

In keeping the grown-up egg hunt theme, The Cake Lady Custom Cakes will be organizing a month-long egg hunt in downtown Fort Pierce starting on Sunday, April 1st. Eggs filled with discounts and products from area merchants will be hidden all over the downtown area. Get the best stuff early and then head back up to Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery for the most chill Easter Brunch around. Easter Brunch in the Vines starts at 10 am and features music by Paul Skyland followed by Peaceful Easy Easter afternoon with the Hairpeace Band.
