Treasure Coast Foodie Review- Pareidolia Brewing

By Thomas Miller, The Treasure Coast Foodie

Pete and Lynn, owners of Pareidolia Brewing Company moved to Sebastian in 2014 from the Pacific North West. When they got here and looked around for local craft breweries, they were shocked at how few of them were in the area at that time. As avid home brewers with over 20 years of experience, it only made sense to follow their passion and open Pareidolia Brewing Company, which just happened to be the very first craft brewery in Sebastian! When I first heard the name, I had no idea what it meant, so I did a little research. Its pronounced “PARR-I-DOH-LEE-AH” which means “The psychological phenomenon that causes some people to see a vague or random image of something significant.” By using your imagination you can see faces in everyday common objects, hence their tag line “Face it, beer is good!” Don’t stop for a bite to eat before heading to the brewery because they have an extensive menu of Pub style grub that is “crafted” by Pete’s wife Lynn! They have a nice variety that includes sandwiches, hot dogs, flat breads, poutine, and more. Check out what I had to eat here!

Smoked Brisket Poutine – Tator tots, white cheddar cheese curds, smoked beef brisket, brown gravy, green onions. The tots were nice and crispy and the brisket was very tender!

Grilled Ruben on Rye – Sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 island dressing. It’s a bit messy when I picked it up, but my first bite was awesome! A little crunch from the lightly toasted bread and the wonder flavors of the kraut and 1000 island dressing make this one delicious sandwich!
