Chill out with local craft brews at Pareidolia Brewing and enjoy the sounds of Hairpeace on tonight beginning at 6:30. If you can’t make it on tonight, enjoy southern rock and blues band, Swamp Dog on Friday night. Foodies rejoice as the Treasure Coast Foodie hosts an open house at Market Place Fudge & More on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Sweet!
Vero Beach
Tonight you can catch Mike Telesmanick and his Jazz Trio from 5-7pm at the Vero Beach Museum of Art for a concert in the park. Bring a chair and there will be refreshments for sale. Also, this weekend is the annual Hibiscus Festival, all day Saturday and Sunday in Downtown Vero. There will be fine arts and crafts vendors, food, festivities and fun for the whole family.
Theatre lovers can check out Phillip Kings,See How They Run, a comedic farce about a hilarious romp through an English Vicarage, playing all weekend at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild. Performing arts fans will also not want to miss the competition culmination of the Rising Stars Opera Festival presented by Vero Beach Opera on the evening of March 25 at Vero Beach Performing Arts Center. The concert features the highlights from the much-lauded annual vocal competition.
The Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) will hold a free open house at their Vero location on Tuesday, March 29th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm where visitors can learn about their latest findings and efforts to preserve and sustain the Indian River Lagoon.
Fort Pierce
Harbor Branch Ocean Discovery Center will host a free Science Saturday on the 26th from 10am to 4pm featuring family friendly interactive activities and educational exhibits. Then, on Wednesday the 30th, there will be a fascinating lecture. “From Clams to Corals- It’s a Long Story” will be presented by Dave Vaughan, Ph.D., of the Plant A Million Corals Foundation.
Sunrise Theatre has a great lineup for the weekend including “The Price Is Right Interactive Stage Show” where attendees can be contestants in the classic gameshow in person on Friday night. Saturday night features one of the most popular Carpenters Tribute shows in the country. Direct from Las Vegas, “Carpenters Legacy” is a re-creation of the 1976 UK Tour is the definitive show celebrating the music and legacy of the famed brother-sister duo.
Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery never disappoints this time of year either! On Thursday from stroll down memory lane to the time of duck tail hairdos, and poodle skirts with The Doo Wop Guys. On Saturday, check out a tribute to Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and more. Sunday’s festivities feature an All GM Car & Truck Show with the Burnt Biscuit Band. All Summer Crush events this weekend are from 1pm to 4pm.
